Powerful Interactive e-Lesson

Dear Marcia, Sandra, and Colleagues,

I am extremely happy to contribute something very special today. I designed an e-lesson that include many powerful features such as automated actions, documentation, and emailing. There are two parts; the presentation and the assessment. The first part is for theory and the second for practise or test. The e-lesson ends by sending emails with the assessment result to the student and the teacher.

To be able to use the emailing and documenting features in my e-lesson, you must do the following:

1. Set up MS Outlook 2007 to work with your Live or Gmail account. Check the tutorials links below. (If your MS Outlook 2007 is already set up and working, skip this step please.)

2. After downloading the rar archive, make sure you extract the folder " Amjad_e-Lesson_Demo " to drive C. It should look like this C:\Amjad_e-Lesson_Demo\

3. Once you open the e-lesson slide show make sure you choose to enable macros. Check this picture.

Dear Amjad,
I was just passing by your blog when I run into your really interesting post. I just wanted to say that I have really enjoyed it, however I was not able to make it work. Do you maybe know which steps I should follow for this to work on a Mac computer? If you have the information, I will be deeply thankful.

All the best,
Tatiana

Dear Tatiana and Zlatka,

To make it work, just follow the steps I wrote in the post above, one by one, and it is all yours. I am not familiar with Mac computer but if you have got PowerPoint 2007 and Outlook 2007 I guess it will work, Tatiana.

Zlatka, if your problem is with downloading, I have add another link on the course's wiki so you can try again. Above is the download mirror, click and download.

Thank you very much.

Best wishes,
Amjad

Dear Amjad,

I downloaded the presentation, unfortunately the interactive features did not work. But, it looks great. You did a great job. I must learn how to add such features to PowerPoint presentations, as they certainly engage learners more than just looking at slides and listening to the teacher. Thank you for your wonderful ideas.

All the best,
Nina

Dear Nina,

Thanks for your kind comment. Did you enable macros at the start of the slide show?

Please check the picture I provided in the origianl post. You must enable the macros to have the features work!

I have tested the features before uploading and everything work fine.

Best wishes,
Amjad
